Excellent Clinical Outcomes

The Exeter Knee Reconstruction Unit (EKRU) is proud to have published outcomes that are among the best in the UK.

Our outcomes are all publically available through the National Joint Registry and My Surgeon Outcomes.

We are members of the National Orthopaedic Alliance (NOA), a group of specialist Orthopaedic hospitals. Exeter recently demonstrated excellent results, with the highest 'adjusted health gain' after knee replacement surgery of any of the specialist Orthopaedic hospitals in the UK. This means that on average, our patients do better after surgery than anywhere else in the UK.

EKRU is also one of the busiest Revision (redo) Knee units in the UK, and it is also the only unit that offers specialist services such as meniscal transplant surgery and cartilage grafting.
